What a mess ! This also happened to a mate of mine years ago. he had a brand new 205 GTI 1.9, private plate 205 FLY, and it did. It went in to quick $hit for an exhaust to be sorted and ended up written off when the fitter decided to take it for a spin...Who can you trust these days !

Sorry guys - whats a DPM? Am I being stupid here? I took this to be some derogatory term relating to the readership of the sun? Anyway it was on the radio this morning (BBC berkshire), so poor Dan is getting publicity on this one. BTW what engine was in there if he was claiming the car did 3.2 sec to 60!
