Vehicles looted after snow abandonment

A bit late with this one but I have just heard from a relative that several folks who returned to their cars after having to leave them in last Friday's Cornish snowfall, found their cars had been looted of valuables, stereos etc.

Comforting to know we have such thieves dwelling amongst us who never miss an opportunity to increase ones misery.

Can't say I'm surprised.

I was disappointed to see that a car that was clamped near to be for having no tax didn't get trashed over night. I thought that would be just about fair.....don't have any tax for 5 months, get clamped then get your car trashed....sounds like poetic justice to me! (or am I just having a bad day...?)

perhaps the Cornish have returned to their roots. Shipwreckers etc.

Happened in January 1981 (IIRC the date). Lorries abandoned on M4 were looted. There was a strong suspiscion at the time that at least one helicopter had been used. Again IIRC, a lorry-load of frozen (it was frozen before!) was stolen and one "high-value" cargo too - Streaky

It's just planet earth m8, I don't think theres a single country anywhere where you could guarentee this wouldn't happen.
