Hi,all

I need some OE parts and I'm in the process of ordering from Bell and Colvil. BUT, they're so slow at replying

When I order from Eliseparts.com I get a reply within a day. Last time I ordered some stuff it was 4-5 days from ordering to getting the parts.

now it's been 3 days and still waiting for B & C to even quote me a price. And then there's the payment which wasn't possible online. Grrrr..Annoying

Isn't there an online shop like Eliseparts.com with OE parts ?

What do you recommend ?

Heeeeelp

Have you tried Hanger 111 www.hangar111.com/

In many cases - and for many items, OEM is not the best way to go - eg brake pads - OEM are overpriced rubbish. You can get them for under 40 a set from a motor factor. Over 100 from lotus!

agreed try hangar111

info@hangar111.com

in this day and age of the internet its dumb how people take more than 1 day to answer an email.
within the hour should be the benchmark.

I know that not all OE parts are best. But these parts are not performance parts. I need a new throttle cable,a storage bag for my soft top and some clips and a paint pencil. Basic stuff really.

Then Hanger 111s will serve your needs. Bell-Colvill shop is more expensive (don't get bulk discounts) and not well stocked.

Failing that try Brooke-Kensington who can usually get anything.

I think Lotus are cheapest for hood bags. Mine was £17 inc VAT. Only think I've bought from Lotus and considered it good value!

Update: had a chat with Hangar111. Very nice people so I placed the order there instead and cancelled the one with B & C. And now I can use paypal to pay for it. Nice

Thanks for the advice

Denmark to the East coast, may not be too bad, buto get to where Shangani and the rest of us BoLOCs are located is abit of a trek. Easily 5hr drive from the east coast ports. Well impressed if you make that trip.

5 hours is nothing. Not here anyway.
But, I must admit after having read other threads on this forum I can see that traffic in UK is quite different. For instance there's not really any road-rage here..Yet.
And then there's the bit about driving on the other side of the road .
But I'll manage. I can have a vacation at the same time I've never been around the UK before
Any big meets coming up in '06 ?
