Does anyone know if it's possible to convert Litronics to Bi-Xenons on a 1999 996? Without replacing the entire headlamp unit?

I don't know if this is the case with Porsche, but with most manufacturers, Xenons are only available as a factory fit option from new because I believe they have to have automatic self-levelling which is difficult to retro-fit - if they shine too high they dazzle other drivers (does anyone else find the Xenons on Range Rovers are an absolute killer if you are in a car that's low to the ground?).

Dunno, although I think there was some info about why it was hard on renntech. The harness is different IIRC and also you need to update the software.

I doubt you can modify your current units as there are extra servos etc. in the bi-xenons.

Seems a bit of a pointless upgrade anyway as full beam seems more than adequate to me?

Cheers for the info chaps. If it's not simple, it's probably not worth it.
