Having difficulty in finding any performance stats for 911's. As their seem to be so many different variants & engine sizes. Looking at late 80's 3.2 911 or 964, have seen a couple of 964's with 3.6 engines. What sort of performance do you get from a 3.6 1991 964, eg 0-100 mph,top speed, would assume they must be near 300 bhp ?

Thanks for your help.

Simon.

Thanks for the link but i couldn't see any 3.2 911's or 964's, all the cars on their are RSR GT / racing models.

www.portiacraft.co.uk

if you look under each model you get a whopping list of all the variants with their 0-60 adn top speed. how accurate is I dont know, but at least someone there took some time and effort to collate it all, probably a good sign

3.2 - 231bhp, 0-60=5.8, 0-100=13.9, max speed=157.5mph

964 - 250bhp, 0-60=5.5, 0-100=12.9(13.2 for C4), max speed=unknown

All according to Paul Frere who's book happens to be next to me.

Another sale lost at Amazon! Actually it is a fantastic book but you'd have to be a serious geek to always have it to hand!!!

Yes very funny!

I would be, you're right. Fortunately, the truth is that I was working from home this morning - book just happened to be where I was working.

My site lists 86 911 variants:

www.carfolio.com/search/results/?terms=porsche+911

I'm sure a number are mising, but there should be a good few answers for you there. I'll also be able to answer most questions about the source of specs if you drop me a line. Known problems include that I don't always list the series numbers - 997, 996, 993, 964 etc, but you should be able to manage from the year...

HTH, any questions, just drop me a line @ editor@carfolio.com

So does anyone know the best place to find out how much my 911 cost back in 1982 ?

I have spent the odd work hour scouring the web for UK past prices.

What model is it? I have some books that might help somewhat... nothing online price-wise though.

Happy to dig around for pricing though, if you want.

Thanks for all the help/links, been very helpfull.

Been looking at a 964 & a 911 both have been updated / modded body wise, i am not into concours or originality, will be used for sunny days & trackdays.

Please give me your opinions on them, must say the 964 looks a minter with quite low mileage. Not to sure on the 911.
