Make a bracket and position the reservoir onto the front chassis cross member next to the coolant expansion tank, above the radiator. Don't think there is a real issue with the PAS fluid getting hot as it can be used as gearbox oil aswell. If you're really concerned, fit a small PAS oil cooler, they're widely fitted on a lot of cars, in can just be a piece of straight pipe in an area of flowing air. This may give you plumbing problems though.

I fitted PAS on my Griff 500 this summer. I bought a complete kit which included the bracket that fits the resevoir on top of the engine. To check the instalation I looked at the Griff pages website and any under bonnet pictures I could find including cars for sale on PH. Well worth fitting in my opinion. It has tranformed my Griff and now my wife can drive me back from the pub!!

PAS FLUID IS HIGHLY FLAMMABLE !!!!!!!!
don't put it on the cross member, when overheats, it squirts out of the top...onto the exhaust!
best above the pump, keep away from heat if possible. A/C cars have it above the water pump, later cars have it on the side of the plenum. both good places. don't know about others.
the reason pas gives probs on thrackdays is expansion. it gets MUCH hotter (as does everything) and there is much more swirl in the resevior. add to that the fact that dealers tend to overfill to be safe...i run mine at about a CM below level when warm on track.

Mine used to manage to pour fluid all over the engine in the standard location on the plenum. It's made quite a mess and not helped reliability.
I've moved mine to the crossmember, but have taken several precautions so that any leaked fluid can't spray on the manifold. Most of the "leaks" I've had have come from the pot being over-filled, the fluid getting hot and coming out of the vent on the lid. I should get a cooling benefit from moving the PAS bottle and shielding it from the manifold. Not tested yet as I only finished it today, and now the MOT's run out...

Is there anyone in the Bath area who has a Griff with PAS fitted that i can look at and take pictures of?
I am about to install a genuine TVR PAS kit, but i am worried about getting the pipe runs in a suitable location to avoid moving parts and very hot parts.
