Anyone know if these still cut the mustard ? Looking at one for my new gaming system and found a cheap one. Its PCi Express by the way, not AGP.

I've got two 6600GTs and they are great, a 6800ultra should still be a useful card.

I'm thinking an ultra card and going SLI with them in 6 months or so. I'm on a PC forum and they're all saying dont waste your money on them now, but i cant help thinking they are obsessed with the latest and greatest... I'm sure a 6800ultra will bee good for some time - i meanmy 9600xt still runs BF2 and GTl well enough to be enjoyable !!

the 6800Ultra is only £192inc vat delivered ! bit of a bargain i think !!

7800GT's are only £230 now, would it not be better to get one of those?

7800's are good, very good.
Having said that my laptop has a 6800 Ultra in it, Half-Life 2 @ 1920x1200 with all the goodies turned to maximum is smooth and only jerks on heavy disc access (it is a laptop) so either would do a game player proud.

That's a very good price, presumably an auction, could you email the sellers ID ?

For those of you who are interested i just did a search for 7800gt on ebay. The seller thats got mine had 5 that all finished within 1 minute of each other which was a massive error on his part as he could have got a lot more for them. I think the most expensive one went for £185 - which still isnt a bad price at all (from the buyers perspective anyway !)

All i need now is some Corsair TwinX Ram to clock and a Seasonic 600W PSU and i'm there !!
