French Autoroutes - fast track?

I can't for the life of me remember now - do they have some kind of electronic tracking gizmo? Can Brits get one? Can it be moved from car to car (thus debits a CC when used).

Would save my girlfriend struggling with the seatbelt/to reach the toll booth cashier. Would save stopping too ...
