Hello all,

I'm in the painful process of breaking in my M400 and have encountered an odd problem... I've finally hit the 1,000KM mark but now the odometer doesn't show any digits except for the first digit followed by the decimal point and a digit after the decimal point (i.e. 1.2 not 1001.2). Any idea how I can cure the issue?

Thanks!

Sounds great! Nice low mileage car, never raced or rallied, that sort of thing.
Seriously, sounds like faulty unit -back to dealer/factory.
Hope you're enjoying you new toy!

Does the ecu store the correct mileage?

My 3R did the same so if Im honest when selling I have 13k on the clock instead of 12000. Was fixed at 1000 mile service.

It wouldn't be something simple such as having gone on to the trip recorder rather than total mileage would it?

Unfortunatley not, its definitely not the trip meter. Unfortunately can't take the car to the dealer as there is no dealer here but might need to ask for a replacement ECU

Q8 - doubt very much that it is the ECU. May need replacement speedo though; either way, needs to be done by dealer/factory.

Not the ECU. All the info is stored in the speedo. Needs swapping out. I bet it's not impossible to do yourself.

Thank you all. Being in Kuwait the closest dealer is an 7 hour flight away so will probably have to find another solution. Will talk to the factory for guidance.

You'll be needing a Faulks Performance intercooler upgrade too then!!
