GT2 sounds terrible. If you have a GT3 or RS and are used to that fabulous roar and lovely high revving nature you will hate the GT2 engine.

I drove one and it left me cold. It just was no fun at all. Give me a GT3 over one any day of the week.

Had a 993TT before so the GT2 sounds quite nice, especially between 5 and 6K

I actually prefer quiet cars and drive the GT2 with ear plugs on the road.... and its not because it sounds horrible, its just noisy.

No - being able to drive around other vehicles under power has a very special feeling and lets face it, you cannot have too much power.

Buy a GT2 spend £ 7k on engine mods from the USA and get yourself 600 HP and all the Roar you want.

About twenty years ago a friend of mine was retained by one of the top guys in Formula One to install the then-current TAG-Porsche FI turbo (with around 1150 peak bhp) in an otherwise normal 911. You definitely can have too much power - the car was effectively undrivable.

From reading around, you won't get 600 real hp for £7k. Plenty of heated discussion on RL about that topic

with 1150 BHP - i would have seriously considered changing the tyres and brakes, power delivery is also important, you don't want 300bhp at 4000 revs and 1000bhp at 4500... thats just silly.

Correct, and in this case it sounded like it was 200 bhp at 9,000 revs and 1,000 bhp at 9,500 revs.

As far as I know, since its initial shakedown run twenty years ago, it has not been driven since.

Sorry MOD500 but 600HP is obtainable for £7k, infact i have the 600HP Stage 4 kit on my X50 and it was a lot less than £7k! If i run the car on the Race program i have installed in the ECU the output is around 620HP.
The upgrades are alot cheaper from the USA and if you dont believe that 600HP is poss then check out the 6speedonline web site, there are alot of guys running this stage on their tt's and many have had the cars on dynos and are showing 600 plus HP

I sure wouldn´t want to buy a turbo that had been tuned to 620hp for less than 7k. Manthey charges app. 67k euro for their K700 and I beleive there is a reason for this enormous cost.

When you get to 640hp the engine internals have to be replaced as do the turbos etc etc so the engine has to come out and be stripped... hence the cost.
