Never see these in the USA--from piccies, they look right. I never even see them for sale in the UK?
Thoughts regarding these cars?

I'm an Alpine owner (GTA V6 Turbo). Alpines include A110, A310, GTA, A610 and some include Renault 5TII. The following web sites will give you all the info you need.

You are unlikely to find an A110 in the States.

One passed me (A110) on the A421 some time ago (blue). I nearly bought one several years ago after seeing an example at the classic car show in the NEC, but they are not an easy car to find in good condition. The larger engined cars I was never able to track down at all.

Very rare, at least in England and on the road.

There is one for sale on Ebay UK that was about 21,000 Brit Pounds.

Any thoughts on the car? I thought it was overpriced based on the interior wear...

Nooooo!

I know someone who has just paid £25k for one that needs a complete rebuild (bodywork, mechanicals and interior).

IT's about 30,000 pounds now--and reserve still not met!

What's the rub with Alpines built in Mexico?

If you mean the one on ebay at 'wesellyourcar' It'll probably sell for over 35k if it's a real 1600.
I love these cars but I don't really understand why they carry so much money when compared to a lotus elan or europa. My 1300 is my 'baby' and was bought nearly 20 years ago when prices were sensible. It's the car I'd wanted since I could walk.

The Mexican ones are very good but only come in smaller engine sizes. Contact the usa renault club for details & prices.
Anyone that owns an Alpine must either join a club or speak french like a native (it's still worth joining a club...).
