Ive been looking now for about a year for a Ferrari 250 GTO Replica, i saw one at last years kit car show at stoneleigh and fell in love.... always loved them but just seeing one parked in my garage, i think id be complete.

stupiedly last year i got side tracked by a lambo Miura rep, which turned out to be a heap of SH*T*.. (but would still fancy one as well) But one thing at a time.

Does anyone know of any? who built them? or anything.

I never got to speak to the owner at the show and kept being told he would be back soon!

Anyways any help would be appreciated.

Cheers

Indeed the commonest base for a 250GTO is a good old rusty Zed. Pop over to www.zclub.net/ there's quite a bit of info/interest on the conversion. Chap up in Lincolnshire (Moggy) is in the process of doing one at the moment.

Also check out this US one, extended wheelbase and BMW V12, tasty work!

This body kit was on ebay last week - not the first time I've seen it offered either. Keep 'em peeled! - Shaw Taylor

I have a vague recollection that a guy in the UK Ferrari Owners' Club was selling his. It's definitley based on a 240Z and is foreshortened relative to a real one. This may not seem super helpful, but I recall only one like it in the club- it's been displayed at several events over the last few years. Can't remember where I've seen it for sale though; I'll check in the owners magazine when I have a mo'.

Its in the planning stage and will be in production early in the new year.It will be made to graft onto an Italia body so that existing owners can add it to there cars too.

By the way the moulds are ready now so the first 4 customers get to buy the hardtop for £90, just thought ID mention it as the hardtop will be in excess of £600 when purchased seperately.

Is that going to be the whole back or like a hard top that just fits on?

It will be a hard top that will be bonded on otherwise it would mean some owners would have to rip out there original rear end.(painful!)
