Another new owner!

Yep did it, been desperate for a Cerb for ages and finally got one again!

It's and S plate 4.5. Purple interior. 32,000 miles. New clutch, starter, recent discs and pads, upright mod, 3 owners, blended pod lights at front.

Was this the one on ebay a few days ago? Looked like a steal if it was, would have been very interested myself if I had not bought one (another ebay job) just a week earlier. Yellow with dark wheels is the b@llocks. Well done.

It is, a little scrappy round the edges but on the whole a very solid car! Only real problem is the power steering has gone, expensive to fix if it is what I think it is but it's still driveable without it.

Didn't pay quite what it was up for on ebay either.... But lets keep that between us.

Saw it purely by chance, I'd been and added all Cerbs for sale on ebay to my watch list just to keep an eye on them. Logged on Thursday night to see the last 60 seconds of the auction. I emailed the guy out of pure chance saying that I would take it tomorrow at that price and luckily for me the woman who won pulled out (zero rated looser!). Drove up to Birmigham area to see it Saturday morning and handed over a deposit. Saw K1 CERB on the way home too, man his car sounds good!)

I did have one last year (gazzab's old car) but it taught me a lesson a few weeks into ownership.

Shall be treating this one like a loaded gun.

Pwr steering pump recond by TVR = £460.
Does engine have to come out to get to it?
If so 16 hrs labour.

Although joolz used to do a replacement for the power steering using an electric motor. I think it was the system from a Citroen C3. £500 instead of £1500, IIRC.

Will do the power steering pump myself I reckon. Shouldn't be a hard job.

If I can remove the heads and replace them on a V12 in a day that should be easy peasy.

Based on the East West border near the sea so not quite near Hastings.

I dont think you can rebuild the pwr steering pump yourself. TVR have a special tool (or something!). It is poss to get the parts and you MIGHT fix it but you could put it all back together and refit and then find that you didnt fix it afterall !?
