I have recently bought a scimitar that has 8x15" rims fitted. The current tyres are 225/60/15, but they are pretty worn and the car tramlines terribly, especially on the motorway. I was wondering if 205/65/15 tyres will fit on the rims?

I think it's possible, 205/60r13 tyres are regularly stretched over 8" Caterham rims, though I gather it can cause the tyre fitter some difficulty with seating the bead.

Before you go away from the ideal tyre size I would get the suspension inspected. Your 'tramlining' is most probably wear in one or more of the joints.

The Cooper Tires (sic) site lists allowable rim widths for each tyre size.
