Ah...here we go

He never was the golden boy with me the bugger. I disliked him from the day that he waltzed in and shafted all the private pension schemes by 5 billion squid a year, only to announce with disgust 8 years later that the private pension fund hole was 40 billion as though it was the funds' fault.
We can no longer finance this huge public spending machine that they've built. Throwing money at a problem without allowing time for any kind of organic growth just creates a dependancy, but they have been desperate for quick results to justify their asses. Short term, poisoned legacy politics.
If only the Tory t
ts hadn't cut right to the quick - why couldn't they have rationalised to some happy medium without virtually cutting public services down. They're all assholes.
Phew, I feel better now.

It sounds very much like an Etonian version of the Bliar Waffle Project has just been launched.
"Greater 'social justice'": f@ck off!
"More inclusive": drivel.
"9/10 white males are predominantly males:" please, take a testicle.
"We need more wimmin.." Where's the Mogodon?
"Caring, compassionate, conservatism:" He actually said this.
"Not just the haves but the have nots.." I don't suppose he means "the tax we have not?"
Spiffing.
Hello, Mr Knapp? Yes that's right, another desperate refugee from the centrist bullsh1t zeitgeist that's sunk the realm...

Der, for once you miss the point. Cameron will play the same game that Labour has played. He will make all the right noises, say all the things people want to hear, and then sail on regardless. If saying these things returns a Conservative government, I'm all for it.

Oh I do hope you're right. I hope Cameron has sussed out that the great unwashed will vote for the nicest sounding promises regardless of the substance behind them!

Exactly
He needs to make the Tories appear sensible and decent to floating voters.
It is not all an act and if he comes to power you will see no Thatcherite style revolution, but he will still be a damn sight better than Labour.

It will depend in part whether the BBC can be persuaded to back him, or at least adopt a neutral stance.
Judging by this mornings coverage the Beeb is still very much backing Labour all the way.

There is no hope of the BBC switching allegiance; even Labour is a bit too right wing for them at times.
What we should be hoping for is papers like the Times switching back (though this will depend on Rupert Murdoch as much as anything)
Cloud cuckoo land here I know but... wouldn't it be nice if, just for a change, a political party emerged that really did give a sh!t about the good of the country instead of lining their pockets? Can you imagine, run the country like it was a business, do a good job and climb the ladder, job for life etc etc.
Instead of 'milk it for what you can' for 4 years and pray you get back in by voter apathy.
There are enough people on PH who apparently can see the wood for the trees, we should do something
Imagine going down in history for the right reasons instead of the wrong ones...

Problem is the beeb, especially radio, command a big lump of middle class voters, those who deserted the tories in 1997. Compared to the Beebs influence the readership of the boradsheets is tiny.
True if Murdoch backs the tories via the 'Sun' (in essense the UKs third largest political party IMO) that would swing things, but then you have to ask why would he? Remember when he visited No10 a few days before the last election, what was said? What deal was made? Interestingly a few days adter that it was the Italian elections and Murdoch went to visit Berlusconi.
He's the most powerful man in Europe Murdoch is.
