Ive got a video which Im told might be in QT pro format (what does that mean, surely they are all compatible with eachother) but I cant play it on my PC. I'd like to be able to watch it.

1) Is there a QT format (pro) which isnt viewable if you dont have pro?
2) Any suggestions how to play it? Ive downloaded the latest codex but it just wont run on my machine.

Hi,

Try using GSpot, it lets you see the codec used to compress the video.

A useful tool. As far as I know there is no limitation on viewing QT video. Have a look at that tool, then download the codec it detects.
