My engine is now back together but my mechanics say they can't get hold of a clutch for love or money. Anyone else in this predicament? Anyone know where I can get one?

If u can't get one new, try getting the old one re-manufactured. Had this before and got on well with the new one. tim.

as this is such a common occurance, why didn't they order a clutch right at the start? they always take 3-4 months to come through at times like this .. you might be lucky and tempt one out of a dealer somewhere, but i wouldn't hold me breath if i were you.

Billynomates - you have a mate! Thanks for tip. Hopefully now have the necessary. Trackcar, agree with your sentiments entirely however have to be careful what I say as I once managed to upset an indie who frequents these pages by suggesting an alternative source! hopefully he has forgiven me know (:
