Latest CoolCraze...Has it swept the country.....

....or is it just confined to Scotland?
I am of course talking about driving at dusk/night with sidelights on, and FOG LIGHTS TO COMPENSATE!!!
Maybe it's just because the nights are drawing in and on my way home I notice them but everyone seems to be doing it, not just the Pax Mower crowd, reps, business men, fricking BUSES!
What is the point, perfectly good Headlights not switched on in favor of blinding everyone in sight with fog lights.
No Body thinks you look cool you TWAT! They think you look like even more of a twat!
Any other areas got this problem!

Yes, it's here, too. Not only the bolt-on crowd, but housewives, HGVs, ordinary people, ...
The funniest of all:
You're only allowed to switch on your rear for light, when visibility is down to only 50 meters.
If visibility is down to 50 meters, you're only allowed to travel at a maximum of 50 kph; but people keep using their rear f/lights at every speed
moronic or what??

moronic or what?? Actually...it is here in the South. Headlights on dip with front fogs on as well.
Mostly the rear fogs are not on.
Its how to make yourself look like a tosser in one easy lesson. Its also illegal (if no fog) - if they are front FOG lights. if they're "driving" lights then I'd guess they're legal but I'm prepared to stand corrected on that one.
And it really isn't the MP lot either. MPVs, Hatches driven by School-run-mum. Everyone.
Hopefully it'll die off soon. Its now so prevalent I've given up flashing the headlights to remind 'em that therr fogs are on.
Idjits.

It happens here in the Midlands.
One particular Numpty I saw yesterday was towing a badly loaded caravan, behind a Laguna in the middle of the day. I figure he thinks war has started, and we could benefit from another couple of searchlights, cause the barsteward things were shining well up into the air.
I flashed at him, as did at least half a dozen cars behind me, but I spose he thought we were all being friendly, because he waved at me. WTF???
I, of course waved back, but was economical with the fingers

The way to do it is get some proper PIAA rally spec bulbs in your 'driving' lights. I find that when I flash them with these bad boys they tend to take notice
mungo said: They do do it here in the South yeah but you wouldn't believe in the North - It's about 50% of cars in the pitch dark with side lights and fogs.
With regards to flashing them etc etc, they still won't understand - They are too ignorant to realise why you are flashing half the time anyway.

Last week I got stuck behind a twat in a new renault laguna estate who had his rear fogs on because one of his rear tail lights wasnt working! WTF? Get into a petrol station and buy a bulb! 70p and 2 mins is all it takes! I was stuck behind for 20 miles, and flashed him several times. Obviously I dazzled him, so he sticks his hazzards on and slows down, so I can close and get a real good view of his foglights, then speeds up. Numpty! Eventually, on the M80 I passed him on the inside as he was "queuing" in the slow outside lane

Fish and I saw a Nova that had wired in these, but they were red and green flashing ones not blue.
Yeah but you can get IR & laser versions that are pretty useful. IF you know what I mean.
