G'Day guy's, I have finally found a computer & got back on line, had to go to Australia to do it

Got to tell ya it's been between 28 & 32 for the las few days & 37 tomorra, (sorry)

As Paul has told you I was cut of early in the UK (long story)

It's a bit late but I want to thank Paul for organising such a great send off. Thanks to everyone for making it a fantastic send off.

A BIG thanks to Graham a Picador for the Bacon roll to start the day plus the use of his forcourt to launch from & wake up the neighbours (don't know who was responsible for that)

Got to say though Brian I can't thank you enough for giving me the keys to that beast for, it was the drive of my life. Also a special thanks to Tanya for driving the Monaro down to Southampton so I could use it, now thats a Beaut Sheila !

I was the best day out I think I have had in the 12 years I have spent in the UK, what a great bunch of Guy's.

Will said he was interested in my coments on driving a 6L Monaro & the rid in the Maloo. I'm no Clarkson but I'll try to explain.

When some one gives you the key's to a 440 HP Monaro & your every day drive is a 1.4 Corsa, well it's going to be very different hay & Anyone who knows me will know that I like to use it if it has it & the Monaro has plenty, but I did have in the back of my mind that this car is not mine & I had to be careful not to plant it into a hedge. I have never driven a car that had so much power & Torque. The Torque was there all the way, in any gear at any time, Amazing ! & to my suprise I felt very comfortable with the car very quickly. The gear change was so short & sharp that I never even missed a gear, not even when I gave it some stick (now & again) I loved the sound, drove most of the way with the window down. As they say, I JUST WANT ONE !

The ride in the 6.L Maloo was another thing, again sounded fantastic & even from the passengers seat it felt like it wanted to excelorate all day, must be an animal with the blower on !

Just have to finish by saying it's a dream come true to be home in Aus, but you guy's back in the UK have something special, it's call The HSV UK DRIVERS CLUB, what a GREAT bunch of people, I will miss you all.

THANKS GUY'S
EH*ROB DOWN UNDER.

Ps; I will only be able to get on line now & again when I can find a computer ok.

So Jagsy... so you the next to ship off to the land of HSV's?

When are you off exactly?

Can see that we are going to have to start up a UK HSV Australian Chapter.

Glad to hear you are safe and well Rob. Still no news for me i'm afraid, have a feeling the Visa department has shut down over the festive period. Fingers crossed I too will be there in the new year soaking up some sun.
