Got car out of garage Sat morning - no front lights, no back lights, no fog lights, no reverse lights, no dash lights. All other electrics OK. Cause = the dashboard fuse had gone, and took all the other circuits with it. Surely this shouldn't be the case - who cares (short term) if the dashboard lights aren't there, but what if the fuse went when driving in the dark?

Could anyone confirm if "they are all like this" or whether I have another problem to diagnose.

Thanks

Terry

It might be worth checking what else runs through the fuse that blew. It is difficult to find a definitive wiring diagram and fuse diagram for Griffs and Chimaeras as many ended up being different. Certainly on my Griff, some of the fuses are shared. So you might find that a shared circuit has caused the problem, but the symptoms are loss of lights. Used to be that my cooling fans and horn shared fuses. Soon put a stop to that.
