1 less Cerbera on the roads ... Sorry guys

Totalled my car yesterday ... lost the back end on a straight road doing about 60MPH in 4th gear went oneway then the other, front on into the barrier, spun through 360 degrees hitting the rear before coming to a stop when a car T boned into the passenger door at high speed ...... the passanger door is up against the transmission tunnel.
I got away with lots of bruises a few cuts and some stitches to a deep cut on my face. I have to admit after seeing the damage to the car i'm very lucky especially if he had hit the drivers door i would be in a box now.

I will wait a little time before buying another Cerbera unless i can find a mint one!!

Shoot! Sorry to hear about the motor. Glad to hear you are ok though.
What happened. Losing traction in 4th on a flat road isnt easy albeit these cars arent always 100% predictable.

Sorry to hear that. As others have said, just glad you are OKish and didn't have a passenger at the time. Could have been alot worse.

Ouch! That's a terrible shame, but I'm glad you're alright. As you say, with a bit more bad luck the incoming car could have got you.

Glad to hear you are ok, just. The transmission tunnel thing is a worry. My mate once saw a guy crushed, just as you say, in a Cerbera. Not a pleasant day.

I've had the same in third at sixty, fourth & hitting the torque curve might mean "my car" lights up at a slightly higher speed

Thats a good but ghoulish question. That engine, clutch and gearbox is worth a mint on this forum. I assume the insurance company now owns it and is about to dispose of it to some salvage company for no money.

Is it worth buying it off them and selling it on pistonheads??

I would recommend calling someone like APM and telling them what damage has been done and he might want to buy it ie to reuse engine etc...
I guess you could get £4K for engine? £75 per wheel, £50 for stereo, the undamaged panels will be worth a lot as well, then you have got a diff as well......
Really worth exploring or asking someone on here to do it for you if it is too painful to consider.
