What kind of money do these command nowadays ?

RSJ have got a speed yellow one coming in shortly, 98 plate, £60k. Is this about right ?

Also, are they worth the extra over a standard turbo ?

Is that your old one ?

Saw it advertised elsewhere not so long ago.

Why did you get rid ?

Looks exactly the same as the car I have for sale (page 2 classifieds), however mine is a non-Turbo.

I think I'd pass on the GT2 for the 993 Turbo S to be honest!

The yellow one is my friend's car. I think he had it in with joel before. My mate's gf is giving him grief as he has the 993 tts and a 360 spyder!

it would appear that you have spent too much time interferring with sheep in the valleys of late, or you are a hormonally imbalanced woman. either way as a result you appear unable to assess the automotive world in a rational and logical manner. dial 999 and ask for an ambulance immediately.

Apart from the suspension i think the 993 Turbo S is an awesome car, and will no doubt hold it's value exceedingly well.

Buy it, get some PSS-9's, and keep the standard shocks and springs for when you come to sell it.

Yep - me too...;-)

But also this one is possibly still about from Porsche&911World classifieds...and nothing to do with me.
993 TURBO S 1998, UK car, 2 owners, 34K miles, black/black, immaculate, usual Turbo S spec, FSH, Tracker/stereo, rare and special car, offers c. £60K.

Also, I'm sure someone was selling a latish reg lowish mileage blue Turbo S for 40 something K this month somewhere but the price seemed low so possibly a misprint.

john, i think you misunderstood me, i don't like the turbo s suspension because it is too crashy, whereas pss-9's give you at least as good control/damping but with better comfort and you can have it as low as a ROW spec turbo s or as high as a US spec turbo.
loved the new issue by the way, esp 993 vs 996.

Cheers Pete. I think it/we are getting better. Still some annoying typos - two technical typos, and two layout errors - bugger!

Glad you liked it - looks like we're stirring things up in the Porsche mag world anyway - some interesting things happening at one of the other mags......

- You definitely need to brush up on your sales patter Rob!

(It would appear that I'm not the only one who'd go for the 993 either )

Chris

PS: More room for my wooly girlfriends in the back of the 993 as well
