Well, my Chimaera 450 was delivered this afternoon from Gorners, took "her" out for a quick drive and came back shaking!!!!!

61,000 miles. I saw the 12,000 mile car in Gorners, and although it was in really good condition, coult not warrant the 18500 for a 1996 car. Done only 50 miles since I filled her up and the fuel gauge has not moved, must be stuck!

You are making a common mistake in believing its a gauge. Its a binary mode indicator. Full. Empty. And for fun it will occasionally randomly move to 1/4 3/4 1/2 (in no particular order).

Fill up. Zero trip counter. Look for a refil when >200 miles. Alternatively use the fuel gauge, check RAC membership is up to date enjoy the trips on the low loader hehehe

That's quite normal. Mine hardly moves even after 100 miles or so, but after that it goes into free fall!!

Hi!-does it feel like Xmas day? Enjoy the fabulous,ferocious,but RELATIVELY friendly Chimaera 450 !!Don't go bananas on slippery roads-quite a few people have ended up in a ditch having underestimated the torque of the Rover engine pulling 1000 kg..just ease her along!
Definition of a TVR fuel gauge=habitual liar..

A Red 450? Two upgrade paths then. You can upgrade to a 500, or if you really want a quick one you can go for the popular "blue" upgrade!

I remember what it was like when I got my first TVR, a 400 Chim. Get used to the grin, it'll be a premanent fixture for some time yet!
