I'm not exazctly what you'd call familiar with car maintenance so I'm after some sort of Haynes maual for my 993. Enough info so I can have some help doing the trvial stuff myself; diagrams, pictures, tools required etc.

Anyone know of nay good ones ? I've checked on the Haynes site and they only offer a manual for the pre 89 models. Amazon suggests lots of books but doesn't have much detail on any of them.
Cheers

You can buy a workshop manual through your dealer, AFAIK.

They are normally about 60-80 quid each though, so you have to be keen.

Removing the plugs can be a bitch, as Pete (verysideways) found out, so think carefully before you decide to fiddle yourself. With servicing from 20 GBP per hour upwards, it is sometimes worth scraping someone else's knuckles...

Thanks Domster, I might just invest.
I'm actually a great fan of letting others scrape their knuckles in my stead, at least when I can afford it.

All I actually wanted to do was to tighten my fan belt as its screaming a lot because of the cold/wet. You know if this is a simple job ?
I worry incase this is a sign of something else though....

This may affect cooling, so please get it seen to ASAP or speak to someone who knows. Don't want to overheat a 993, as it gets expensive.
