righto..

In AD Users + Comps i have a user account which says their Exchange General tab location is server "bill"storage group "ben"mail store "flowerpot"

however in Exchange System Mgr..

server "bill" exists , so does storage group "ben" but no flippin flowerpot..

yet...

the users account is connecting and pulling through mail so it lives somewhere..

ive expanded all servers in all sites and cant see it for toffee..

1. Is there a way to hide a Storage Group at Enterprise Admin level?
2. Is there a way to search AD to find where the flippin mailbox actually is?

If you've got Ent Admin rights on the server, then you can see everything.

You should be able to see the store under the storage group? Have you tried expanding the SG in Sys Manager?

Can you use Message Tracking Centre to verify the email is actually being send to Bill/Ben/Flowerpot ?

It's got to be on the server in question (given that the mail will be delivered based on the homeserver and store information held in the Active Directory). As has been mentioned Message Tracking may help.

A bit drastic, but you could use ADU&C to move the mailbox between server/stores just to be sure you know where it is!

Darren.

It's perfectly safe (it copies the data then deletes the source), next time just kill the process....
