apart from the other half having a crisis moment - i've also managed to forget my mother's birthday today. despite being reminded yesterday. and last week. anyway, its not unusual for me to forget her birthday as its only the 6th or 7th year running i've done it.

but what do you get angry mums?

and please let it be cheaper than flowers.

Have you told her you have forgot ? if not don't. Take her out tonight for a meal, if it is possible, and then buy some nice old trinket from a antiques shop, tell her you bought it a while back and that you are gutted it hasn't arrived yet, but she will be pleased when it does.

As you can see from my posts to your problem I am a devious little bastard but at least I don't get into trouble

Good luck, sounds like with both of them you will need it.

Turn it round and start ranting that you never asked to be born anyway. Remind of the times she was cruel to you as a child (like not letting you eat raw jelly and stuff).

Soon it'll be you getting the "I'm sorry" gift!

There is a company, the name escapes me, (not much use then) who specialise in this, they will call with an apology and take full responsibility for the chocolates/flowers etc you ordered days ago.

I remember that as well. A quick google search just brings up sites that will remind you via text of the birthday in advance
