Engine number

Hi, Does anyone know where to find the engine number on an early griff (92). On the engine that is, not the plate.

Follow the oil dipstick tube down from the rocker cover. IIRC it is just forward of the dipstick tube on the block. I am not sure if they all do, but mine has the Rover engine number in big digits then the TVR engine number in smaller digits below that.

Best to get a small engineers mirror and do it when the engine is cold!

It is on the block...right hand side as you stand in front of the car. Good advice...watch out for the cats!

Easiest to see with a torch through the wheel arch (wheel removed).
