Jeez, you guys were so so right in recomending me not to use an OPC to service my newly acquired 993!
Just wanted to get the whole experience off my chest now the beloved car is back in my posession.
They seemed so nice when I was booking it in, and picked the car up 2 days later saying it would be back in 2-3days.
Anyway it took them over a week to do the service and get it MOT'd. They never once called me to update me on progress unless I called them first and kept telling me porkies from start to finish about the progress. They have presented me with so much 'incorrect' (I don't like to accuse people of lying) information about what they have actually done that I'm not sure I would trust them to have actually completed the things in the service list. And how would one ever know if they had or not?
Shan't bore you with the minute details, but it's taken them a very long time to do a simple job very badly with crap communication to boot.
Crap, crap, crap.
Looks like I've learned the lesson you guys tried to teach me at the outset - good independent specialists are the way to go!

How can I type in very loud text?
I TOLD YOU SO!
Now, listen up. Getting it off your chest once is just not enough. You have to moan and moan about it until you get sick of the thoughts running through your head!
Now, rest assured, as was my case that half of what they said the'd done they possibly haven't so you'll end up paying to get everything checked just to be sure.
Here I go again.....
I found that the small 'just a little weap from the rocker cover' was the RMS, gearbox oil had been forgotten, new alternator.... Well, it's not on the car now, easy mistake to make, new, old, mix them up. Oil, oh, over filled and belts? Left them so loose the car filled with smoke and broke down on the M25. Bargain at just £1500. Oh, don't forget you'll be charged £20 for BRAKE CLEANER! Exactly how many cans of brake cleaner can one car possibly consume?
TAKE THE CAR TO SOMEONE WHO CARES.

No, one in kent
If it's the one I'm thinking of, they did my second 993 full service... cost an arm and a leg and wasn't quite right since. Bit snobby sales staff as well, I obviously don't dress well enough at the weekends
If you're in my area, I've had good work done from La Rose.
