OK, can't hang on to it any longer - I'VE BOUGHT MY FIRST TVR!

It's a 350C, 5 months old, 4k miles, in Cooper Green and I'm picking it up next week. Absolutely can't wait!

If anyone's got any hints or tips on what to look out for in general running, particularly with regards to looking after the engine, then I'd be really grateful, especially as it's going to be my only car and used everyday (although I have also bought one of Ken's Oyster cards just in case...).

More importantly, I'm looking forward to getting out for a few trackdays & hopefully a bit of sprinting so I was wondering if anyone had any experience of fitting a four point harness in addition to the seatbelt?

Haven't been this excited about a car for a very long time.

This one? www.pistonheads.com/sales/58052.htm

If you don't mind me being cheeky, what did you pay for it? Certainly a winter bargain if ever i saw one.

Well done and congratulations - I take it it was the 'bargain' one advertised in the PH classifieds. Did they move much more?

That's the one. The pictures don't really do it justice, looks absolutely stunning in the flesh, although it is quite green inside. I may look at changing the carpets at some point in the future, but for now I just can't wait to get out and enjoy it.

I paid (almost) the full asking price which I thought was reasonable. I suppose from a buyers point of view its a good time to be looking because there are some good deals to be had. Also, to some extent I think it's better to buy now and learn to drive it while the bad weather forces you to concentrate and take a bit more care. I'm hoping that by the time it brightens up a bit I'll have got the hang of the car and be able to have a real blast.

Well done and welcome! The FAQ at the top of the forum has loads of usefull advice on everything from engines to sensors and will make a good starting point. You have made a fine choice and judging from the photo on your page you should really enjoy the car. Obvious point take it a bit easy at first this time of year and have fun!
