BIg Fuse Again (Sorry)
Discussion
Hi Guys
Could someone who know what they are doing tell me which fuse I need? I've tried the RS web site and it brings up loads. I don't know which one I need. The battery is now flat so I'm looking to remove and charge and at the same time fit a new fuse so I can take the bridge cable off from the Alt to the Battery.
Cheers
John

Given the regularity with which these things blow in winter has anyone thought of putting TWO in at the same time ?
Hi ya Paul, the effect of the two 100A fuses will in effect create a 200A fuse, with the cable to the alternator only rated @ 100A, your asking for a burning.
That said my fuse popped the other week & I just coupled the wires together.
Now sorted.RUSSELLM said:

Mine is like that at the moment, very dodgy! First repair to be done to mine. Replacing a fuse is a lot easier than a burnt out cable.
