And what was the outcome?

Were it ASTRA's Mark 3's?

Cheers,

Paul

I have the same problem with my vents (95 Chimaera), completely smashed since I got the car, don't know how it happened either. Trouble is they don't look anything like the Mk 3 Astra ones here Those look too big compared to the ones in the TVR. Have I got the right type of Astra?

My mates' 308 has the same vents if you fancy more pricey replacements (bit like Jag XJ220 mirrors vs Citroen mirrors ).

I always thought they were old mk3 Escort ones, but could be wrong.

If someone can get one out and give me the part number I might be able to find out (I work for Ford)

The above is a series 1 RS turbo, but I'm sure the Escort from about 1980 to 1985 had the same dash.

Yeah, if you can get the part number I can run it through our system and see if it is the correct one, and then either buy new or scrap yard.
Either way, if it has ford written on it I can find out what car it is off.

I'll dig out the ones from the racer, they're hidden away somewhere in a shed, and let you either have them or the part numbers.

I think the clips are located on the left and right ends, and are moulded on the vent. I don`t think they would be too difficult to get out, just be careful of the leather!
