No more Le Mans to look forward to for me next year!!
I can't get a car, time off or any money so it's going to be an empty summer 2006! Just remember me when you are blatting down the autoroutes and drinking in Arnage village on Friday night! It was awesome last year and I will be back

You don't really want to go do you??

Thought you had a car anyway. Speedferries is 50quid. Camping is cheap and petrol is.... well!!!

Lol that is what I thought too, but my money has to go to another cause next summer. I will be flying back to Sydney so that will be where all the cash will go.
Sadly no camping passes or ferry tickets to spare as I never paid for them in the end.
I was meant to be going in the girlfriend's car but we split up so no wheels and my parents already took the micra to go to Rouen for the week (how close but yet so far from LM!)
Must try harder for 2007 but I will be back. Going to try for the Festival of Speed in 06 though!

Hopefully nearer the time someone will have a spare seat in their car, and you can get down to LM for a share of the fuel and ferry costs, sneak onto a campsite gratis and then stump up for a GA ticket on the gate. You have to feed and water yourself at home anyway, so that's no additional cost. You could do the whole weekend for less than a ton, put £20 in a jar each month (or a Fiver a week, if easier) from now to then and you're there.

If you put your mind to it anything is possible!
Me and my car are 14,000 miles away in New Zealand but in good faith we will make it in time for June 06, I have grandstand tickets and passes all booked!! Spending Le Mans 05 listening to the race on my PC sucked !!! Nothing on earth to do with motorsport compaires to Le Mans............

That's nothing my girlfriend is due to desprogulate on the 21st June so I have no chance of going this year and it might go tits up for a good few years to come if the baby gets its timing wrong!

Don't give up. Book a ticket and MAKE SURE you go. LeMans can be done easily on the cheap.

I will have a spare general enclosure ticket if you need it. I had to book 2 to get a camping pitch, even though I'm going solo.

Cheers for all the offers guys, I had camping booked but had to cancel it. I want to go still but will have to see what is available very much closer to the time. If anyone has a spare seat, I would love to do it again - last year was awesome! I will keep trying and saving a quid or two every week and just see what the final outcome is!

Yep Bathurst, I tried to get there this year but was too late on getting tickets. LM is much better though and I will be back home in England by next summer!

you seem to be the most common poster on the le mans thread, blah blah blah and then in an instant you write yourself off an event which is 6 months away........Get an evening shift in a pub for a few months if you are that skint, that would pay for it - if you love le mans so much you shouldnt give up so easily

Don't feel bad. You won't miss much! Just a few noisy motors screaming past every 2/3 minutes for hours on end! It's been the same for the past number of years! No totty, bad food and it may well rain this year. :-( Feel better?
