That really is a great loss, he was absolutely hilarious. His style of comedy was trailblazing for people like Eddie Murphy.....

[Ballistic Banana]

Oh no thats so sad, at least his long suffering has come to an end

There's wry amusement to be had checking which PHer's on this thread honour Prior, a talent dissipated in drugs and booze, who in an earlier thread so vehemently slated the skill squandered by George Best.

His(Richard Prior) sort of talent is actually enhanced by taking drugs , same as Eric Clapton plays like a genius when he's high or Bob Marley smoking Ganja and producing sublime music.G Best was a sportsman promotting a healthy lifestyle and unrivalled talent destroyed by alcohol.Hardly a comparison

RIP Richard. On a flippant note, I wonder if his middle name is Ian or something? That would give him the initials of RIP.

satch said: I loved his performances in superman, silver streak, hear no evil... Me too, Satch. Established comedians here paying tribute cite him as their inspiration. I guess they saw him live on stage, which must have been something.

Just get your head out of your arse for once will you LA.
