111R: New manifold, sport cat and induction from Lotus
Discussion
Good morning everybody,
Went to the dealer and he let me see a new Janspeed "spaghetti" manifold, sport decat specially designed for "Lotus (toyota engined)" as Janspeed write on the sticker. He said the car gain 8 hp plus the effect of the exhaust itself. Price of the pieces fitted are about 2000 euros.
I will think about it .......but as mentionned in an earlier post (I liked a lot), I believe I have to improve 1. my style, 2. the tyres, 3. the brakes and 4. the power. So I am more keen to buy the exige wheels he presented to me with the a048 and fit goodridge hoses.
I posted something about my idle speed problem on the official LOtuscars forum and Nick Adam answered that everything was due to the ITG which is not Lotus approved.... I am disapppointed by this commercial answer, because my problems were there before. I understand it may be more difficult for the dealer to sort it out, but my dealer is good and support my.... I mean "our" ITG choice. Anyway this long story to let you know that Lotus is trying a lot of induction and will soon release a box "from a well known manufacturer" for the Toy engine...dixit Nick Adams in the same post... Wait and see. Anybody more news??
Just my little contribution on this nice forum
