The exact same thing happened to my Chimaera 450 at the weekend. I just sprayed a little bit of WD40 in the locks and it works again fine now.

If it clicks, chances are, you're hearing the door opening solenoid working, so its's either not connected to the catch properly or the door is locked

Does it work after you've opened the door from inside ? If so then it's the locking solenoid thats knackered, otherwise the door opeing solenoid (they aren't really solenoids either but that's what everyoneseems to call them )

Anyway, move the back of the seat forwards, and in the B pillar there's a handy flap (held down with velcro) that you can lift up and see the catch workings, then get someone to push the mirror switch and see what's happening

Norman

If the solenoid is not clicking check the door switch.
You get at it from behind the mirror glass.

Have you tried praying?

I've had a similar problem which was caused by the door lock coming loose and mis-aligned. Door switch would click but the door wouldn't open.

Simple fix was to tighten the 3 bolts up.

Hope yours is as simple as that.
