My First TVR Chimaera

After much searching I have finally bought my first TVR. A 97 4.0 Chimaera which has only done 35,800 miles. Picked it up yesterday at what I think is an absolute bargain price given it's condition and the asking/selling price of similar Chimaeras.

I had the car inspected by Rob Ingleby who gave it a glowing report (only a couple of minor points to be sorted). Thanks Rob.

One of the first jobs though will be replacing the carpets which are really faded. I know from other threads that you can buy a complete set from Coverdale but I'm not to keen on trying to fit these myself. If anyone can recommend someone in the Hampshire/Berkshire/Surrey area it would be much appreciated. (I've tried Racing Green TVR but am looking for a couple of alternatives)

A common misconception among Chimaera owners, colour makes no difference at all to the speed. Apart from the blue ones which are of course that bit quicker ;-)

Not just me but several others as well....

Were you to be seen driving somewhere around the london end of the M3 yesterday top down on a glorious sunny but v v cold day, and proudly having your photograph taken somewhere around Sunbury? - mate of mine spotted somone who was clearly a brand new TVR owner and clearly chuffed to F*@% to have a great new toy. Either way enjoy and keep it safe on the slippy stuff.
