One of our machines managed to get a virus which we cleared off using a virus scanner.

Now we find that we're unable to view Secure SSL pages or get onto MSN Messenger.

Sounds to me like port 443 is blocked but has anyone heard of this?

Is there a quick fix?

Check your internet settings haven't been changed:

IE: Tools/Internet Options/Advanced scroll down the bottom and check that SSL is turned on.

Firefox: Tools/Options/Advanced/ expand 'Security' and ensure SSL are checked.
