Afternoon people...

I wonder if some of you PH blokes could profer some advise.

My mate is very attractive - 30 yrs blonde, slim, funny, single, (recent 6mths thing)

So the weekend before last, she goes upto scotland to visit another of our mates.. she meets this bloke 36 yr old single - no obvious baggage (mad ex wife / kids or the like) - he is all over her.. I mean cuddling and holding hands (very odd behaviour or initial meeting) but he doesnt try it on too much (if you know what i mean)

Anyway she leaves the following Tuesday morning on the Wednesday he calls her tea time - he has driven down and is in a hotel not far from her so off she goes to see him.. similar kinda thing - they chat have a few beers still he doesnt try it on more than most .. next day she goes to work he drives back to scotland.. texts her that night to say he is home ok.. she texts back she is glad and will chat soon.. next day she texts him in the morning to say she had good time and thanks for coming down.. no response .. that night she calls him.. no response.. week passes and still she hears nothing

What is going on in his mind?? I cant help but think if he didnt want to see her again he wouldnt have texted when he got home.. but then why no contact since???

So from a bloke perspective what is going on here - is he a spineless tosser or am I missing something??

Well not wanting to state the obvious, but he's probably pulled another bird.

Sounds more likely than him being a nutter.

There is a theory held by some men that if you keep women waiting a bit it will make them a bit keener, two to three weeks it not unknown, though thats pushing it a bit far IMHO especially since he went fairly full on from the start . Sounds like a bit of a weirdo to me.

Maybe he found someone better though or maybe he is dead, kidnapped, in a coma etc

250 mile drive, a hotel room an no action.

I'd tell her not to expect a call to be honest.

[This post in no way endorses such behaviour, the cad]

What, he meets her at the weekend in Scotland and then drives all the way down to wherever in Englandshire to see her on the Wednesday, then vanishes off back to Scotland and doesn't make any contact at all, and he's not a nutter?

Okay, so he's either a nutter or a total cad. I stand corrected.

Perfectly feasable thought - however the thing is he never tried to get it on - a bit of kissing and the like but nothing more.. they slept in same bed and he never did a thing (or tried a thing).. I am going with the weirdo comments but my buddy thought he was nice and that there must be something more.

Thats what i thought, maybe he is married and going through a midlife crissis or the equivelant of a seven year itch, tried to see what it was like with another woman(not talking sex here)and realised what he had.
That would explain why he was so keen to drive down(he had to compare what he had)sorry seems hard on your mate if that is the case but atleast he didnt disrespect her by using her sexually, thats if that is the case...otherwise he's a "ravin Nutta"

This thread has compelled me to a more detailed response such was the innocense it implied.......

from a bloke perspective, when we encounter and attractive single women that seems receptive we can be a bit like a guided missle, but rather than a complex set of electronics, avionics, radar etc, all we're armed with is a todger, it is a remarkable device prinipally for it's ability to overide all other brain function.

However just as when a guided missle can be distracted away from, say an aircraft carrier by a more attractive target before fully locked on say a large transporter it will do so ( this happened in the falklands conflict but lets not go there)...... and so will a randy bloke be, the todger will simply switch to tracking the more attractive target and forget the old one.

Now I am sorry to say this, but during the "c*nt struck" phase of the relationship blokes will do and say almost anything in order to gain "knicker access" I'm not saying that all the nice things we say don't later mean anything, it's just that most of it is banal flattery which you want to hear whilst we try to give you enough wine, meals out, pressies and compliments to get a shag.......but if during that a stage a better prospect emerges then I'm afraid your average chap will be off up the competitions chuff faster than a ferret up a drainpipe, and all the nice stuff he's said didn't mean anything.

Now not to be too cynical, because once locked on and into some kind of emotional attatchment we are much more loyal and do often mean what we say ( the nice things etc ) but early on it's much more physical with blokes, than emotional, but we know that you prefer the emotional thing more, so ahem we bullshit you.

sounds like he and your 'buddy' are woofters to me

of course, you know, she could try actually calling him. texts are the work of the devil and nothing is more guarenteed to bring you drawn out misery than their usage.
