Internals - Damage opinion
Discussion
Guys, just got some pictures from Dom @ TVR Power - of what he discovered when doing my tappets...
Some damage to the internals - since I have no real experience of what level of issue this could cause I wonder if anyone has done some work on theirs and seen the below...?
Thanks for opinions as always...

Copy and paste.
Don't look too bad, beginning to pick up on the sides of the oil gallery through the upper cam bearing cap.
What are they suggesting to rectify? New heads? Problem with damage like that it that the caps are line bored in situ usally and so replacing the caps isn't a straight forward swap job. For teh cost of sorting that out I'd be inclinded to leave it. Depends how anal you want to be.
Any other pics?

compare it to the shiny one the next journal along in the pic and you can see that the good journal is nice and shiny and the main one being photographed is dull, and looks like there's been debris dragged across the surface.
have to say tho assuming the plastigauge said it was ok on clearance I'd just bang it back together .. depends if the clerance has become compromised really .. whatever Dom tells you I'd be incllined to go with his advice .. they're the rebuild experts
