You know, for the first time I have a car I really like. I mean, I have absolutely zero inclination to sell it. There is nothing remotely close to my price range I would be interested in buying. I haven't glanced at the classifieds, browsed autotrader, or searched the dealerships in almost two months! This is number six for me and the only one I haven't been making plans for selling within a month or so. Hell, the civic I was looking for a new car the day after I got it! It's unheard of.

Of course, there's rough spots in any relationship, such as getting my insurance bill today and finding out they decided to charge roughly twice the quoted price. Be calling them tomorrow. But I digress.

Anyone else in this position?

The Yak looks impressive. Sometime I'd like to head down that path to financial ruin, but I like the one I'm on.

I rather like that thing too, in a sadistic way. It just can't be killed.

I can't see the point in selling my Audi A8. It's 9 years old, done 105000 miles, but it's got everything a car needs - leather, all Ali-construction, so no rust, a big lazy 300bhp V8 which will (hopefully) never die, huge boot, great stereo. it's only worth about £5-6k, so it's not worth much in p/ex. So might as well keep it. The only trouble is the petrol cost of 19mpg - but a LPG conversion should sort that out.

So I'm now working on finding the perfect sports car that I can afford.

Yes it's a pity you have to tax and insurance each car rather than just the driver Though I suspect I'd have rather too many half working cars littering the garden then!
