gt2 vs gt3rs...??
Discussion
how much quicker... ??? would you mainly notice over 100 mph... i am flying over to england on friday to drive a gt2 for the first time... have a mk1 gt3 sold... hope it does not disappoint.. my mk1 is amazing.. love it... what about the sound out of gt2.. not meant to be great....????
A lot quicker at the top end (when I had my GT2, and raced it down a private runway against a friends GT3RS, it left him for dead above 120. not actually as dramatic up till then.
Noisewise, nothing special but easily cured with a decent exhaust (100 cell cats)
GT3RS still the better car though

much more exploitable chassis, more chassis feel
N/A engine much more fun to rev the nuts off and sounds better)
The RS makes me smile everytime I drive it hard, the GT2 only made me smile when i was doing jail speeds.
both are great cars, it's just down to personal preference! - make sure you drive both before deciding

ok ...this is my personal experience of driving the GT3MK1 / GT2 / GT3RS
GT3MK1 ; can only be described as a precise driving machine that in my eyes was built for the driver in mind, if you like driving fast then motor cars dont come much better , they are precise and what ive said before goes exactly where you point it , they are a great fun car without a doubt.
GT2 ; sheer power , it did concern me where and when to put your foot down , if you have no respect for a machine forget it , you will trash the car , i did not like the driving position nor the torque steer, , i was simply not comfortable with driving one , dont get me wrong they are unbeliveable quick and to think you own and can say you have one of the fastest production porsche cars is nice but that aint what its all about , its about driver ability to me and how comfortable you feel driving the car, and i wasnt happy with either
GT3RS ; awesome , quick, precise , super handling , excellent feedback when driving, in my eyes porsche dont come much better if better at all , i have had mine on track once at brands hatch , and its strange how a car that can be used as a happy to drive everyday car can become such a awesome tool in a matter of minutes on the right track , simply amazing and i love every bit of it.
some may disagree , but that is my ''personal'' opinion / experience. you personally need to drive both cars and make your own mind up , but if this helps in the smallest way then im happy to voice my opinion. Good luck and keep us all informed with which way you go .
