Anyone used these for gear ?

I am after an Aria RX-7 Corsair helmet & they are selling them for £329.99 (reduced from £499.99).

Not used them.

Just order using your credit card and if the helmet never shows then make it your CC company's problem.

make sure the helmet is an EU spec one, not a jap spec, cos it won't fit your head otherwise, as the shells are different.....

Also, check it has the relevant ACU/BSI/EU stickers on, otherwise you can't race in it, or it may not technically be legal on the road.

The helmets are ece 2205 and ACU gold standard.

Seems a bargain.

Suggest you try one on in a shop first, if you haven't done so already, as each make is slightly different. Other suggestions re Euro spec and paying on CC good too. Might be worth checking their returns policy just in case.

The Arai's they sell are the doctored ones as per the Phoenix advert publised in MCN in the summer (www.phoenixnw.co.uk/arai.html). Basically, they do not have CE approval because the offical mark has been defaced. I contacted them becasue I bought one from gearchange - you pays your money, you takes your chance. I could have tried for a refund, but I kinda guessed that there must have been some dodge when I bought it being so much cheaper. The visor mechanism is not as good as previous Arai helmets (perhaps just a coincidence). Next time, I'll buy a pukka one.
