Trying to do a bit of housekeeping on the PC as it is getting a little slow.
Can anyone recommend a decent shareware registry cleaner (I am broke!)
Also any other sftware which may be helpful.

Thanks

Steve

I use a combination of www.snapfiles.com/get/regseeker.html and www.ccleaner.com which work a treat.

Just make sure you don't run Regseeker if you are using Windows XP x64 Edition as it breaks it!

System Mechanic 5

Has a few other goodies included such as a start up manager which can be useful.

How do I know which edition I am using? "Properties" states XP version 2002 service pack 2 installed

Checkd the regseeker website and it says basically "don`t use it if you don`t know what you are doing!". That`s me then! Will the CCleaner do the job on it`s own?

This RegRun program is pretty good, free for 30 days. Startup control much better than msconfig, will sort your registry out as well.
