Perhaps if we stop antogonising the Iranians with veiled threats and implications of invasion in our media then they might pipe down a bit.

True but that mindset evolved from a constant feed of propaganda and hatred towards the Jews when Germany was in a poor state before the war.
Obviously I don’t mean to undermine the seriousness of the actions of many.

I take in what you are saying but i would imagine that the Russian Army units didnt stick too much to certain parts of the "Geneva convention" on the Eastern front either,that was probably one of the fiecest battles in history.
