Hi Guys,

I'm getting the PH server setup, and I haven't got my disc with me at work - can anyone dig out the PDFs that I need in order to send them to my mate, so he knows what to expect.

I'll also, most likely, have to purchase a new copy of GT Legends to keep legal - I'm sure you'll all chip in to cover it

I also suggested to a few that we donate a little beer money to my mate as he is generously offering his 20Mb pipe, and a dedicated server (!) to the cause! It's only fair...

Cheers

Neil

If it works well, and it's kept updated and the like, and we have enjoyable races there, then I'd be happy to chip in token donations via paypal or something like that now and again.

How many people actually play GTL here, enough to justify donating, and how much do we think is enough?

Is it worth more than purely someone hosting on their home connection when we want a race one evening?

Just seeing what people are up for thats all... sounds cool though, will be nice to have a decent server for us

Dave

Is the pdf on the dvd? All I can find are dedicated_server.txt and GTL_Server_Hosting.txt. If those are ok I'll mail them to you.

Gizza ring if you are stuck Uncle-dave.co.uk Hotline 07005100614

You can actually just copy the whole contents of the game directory over, just to run the dedicated server. Cheaper obviously, possibly easier?

I can send you something that will allow us to control the server ourselves. Edit: Oops! TheListener is one of the main things I thought about, hehe so no need to email

Dave.

So which directory - the whole GT Legends installation directory - or sub-directories?

Either way we'll (read me) have access to the server, and I'll ensure that we put Listener on there. I would say however, as we aren't paying, we should ensure we keep the password quiet so we don't get all sorts coming on in

Yeah whats happening about that i.e format etc ? I fancy perhaps 2 x 1hour races with the big motors, perhaps all one model ?

I can only do the public holidays as i am working inbetween so if you can fit it in then that would be good.

This is good news, it'll be good to have somewhere decent to race!

Do you need contributions towards this as I wouldn't mind paying for decent facilities?

Great news Neil

I'm really missing a regular league. The one off races are fun, but the behaviour of idiots is hit n miss as we know.

HAppy to provide a few beer tokens to cover your mates costs, it's a very generous offer
