UK towns and counties

Does anyone know where I can get an accurate electronic list of UK towns and the counties they're in? I've done a bit of light googling, and I can find some fairly home-made looking lists, but the only definitive one I've found is from the Royal Mail, who want £50 for it.

Obviously £50 won't break the bank, but if anyone knows where I could get a similar list for free, then that would be great.

Some towns have two county "addresess" depending on whether you are talking about their geographical location or their postal designation.

Probably prefer postal, but if anyone knows where I can get a list of either, I'd appreciate it.

I'd be intrested too, however I must admit I've searched too.

I'd addtionally be intrested in Post Code---Town----County reference.

I expect Royal Mail woul dsell one but last time I looked it was circa £300, so my way around it is that there are servers on the net that for 5p you can query the first part of the post code and it returns the Town and County for you. With that I worked out it would cost about £34 to do thte whole of England, so was going to go down that route.
