Close, it was his dog that told him to invade Iraq.

It was to ensure freedom.

That's why so many people have to be locked up. They are enemies of freedom, see?

Did anyone see that clip where he stormed out of the press conference but chose a door that didn't open? It was fantastic.

Because *given the information available*, it was the right choice.

Every decision you've made in your life was 'right' at the time (or you wouldn't have taken it). It was only afterwards, when you learned more or got wiser, that you realised that doing something differently might have been better. But you can't sit about crying over it, you make the next best step forward.

If i remember, he seemed eager to invade before the intelligence was made public. I don't know if he was in posession of said intelligence at the time, but from were i'm sitting, it looked like he and Blair already made up their minds to attack Iraq before adhoc'ing the intelligence in.

Remember the cuban missile crisis? wouldn't you say that intelligence was a lot more urgent than the iraqi one. In that situation the US army held back (a good idea too). So why, in a less dangerous scenario did they launch a full scale invasion?

They would like the conspiracy theorists to think they went in for oil because it covers up the real reason that they really dont want you to know about, getting a land border with iran and the long term protection of israel. The future of the world as we know it now rests upon preventing Iran from ever launching a nuke at Israel. If they do world war 3 begins and we all die. The oil is just a nice bit of bune to go towards paying for it; not to be sniffed at.

Right, because fuel prices here in the U.S. are so much lower than they were before the war.

Well judging from the situation in Iraq right now, it is safe to say George didn't plan this adventure particularly well.
