You will need pretty substantial apacers if you want to replace your cookie cutters with teledials. Early 944's (up to 1985) will wear cookies , Fuchs and possibly BBS cross spoke wheels without spacers. Later 944's (mid 1985 onwards) have the correct off set for teledials and most of the more modern styles of Porsche wheel.

The Teledials have a different offset to cookie's and they arent't painted -they are clearcoated, and imo good condition cookie cutters look better than teledials anyway-

here's my old 84, wish I still had it:

£70 per wheel? Is that for refurbing cookies? Dont bother! Secondhand cookies are normaly dirt cheap, going back about two years I bought an ok spare set of four, for about £50.

The offset changed for the 87 model year and I'm pretty certain some pre 85 cars came with spacers as standard.

I've got cup2 993 wheels on my 1986 944, they fit fine, however you do get a bit of rubbing on tight right handers - i put this down partly due to oversize wheels, and partly to semi-pooped susp on that side of the car.. only happens when really on it with fat lads in the passenger seat mind.

Morale of the story. Only pull skinny burds!!
