Dom had the pink inserts especially made.

"Suits you sir! I bet you like pink don't you sir, oooh sir! Does your girl friend like pink too sir? I bet she does. Suits you sir!"

The inserts are *magenta*, and you've seen those pics before Nightmare ... Colour scheme actually works fantastically well, especially when new black half cage and red three inch harnesses go in. Black momo wheel (not shown) is special order with red stitching.

Number plate is George's (prev owner).

I could have succumbed to a rubystone paint scheme, but that is really pushing the boundaries of what's magenta

Domster,

You're only fitting a half cage

I've seen what happens to a 911 when it rolls, not a pretty site.

Half cage is better than no cage, surely?

Should be OK in a moderate roll, just won't do flips and no extra side impact protection.

I have seen a pancaked 911, and as you say, it is v scary!

Cheers

Yes a Half cage is better than no cage. But if you going to the trouble of fitting a cage why not go for the full option?

The only drawback is you loose your sunvisors which is a right pain in the ar*se if the sun is low.

Plus a full cage on a road car makes getting in a bloody nightmere & the squeaks from the cage rubbing against the rooflining on a trimmed road car drives me insane.

If the roadnoise, engine and exhaust note don't cover the squeaks theres always the good old high volume stereo option.

As for getting in and out, no problems so far, but then again I've not had the pleasure of a 4x4 parking next to me at Tesco's yet!

I found the combination of being 6'3'' with preying mantis like legs, a race bucket seat, a full cage and some git parking too close, made geting in and out of an RS clubsport at the supermarket rather difficult the full cage is great for hanging Bananas from tho, for the trip home

Dom, ditch those pink cushions and fancy needle work and get some black race buckets in there.

Take the foam inserts out of a RS seat and you get your nice race leather bucket seat.

Paulc's suggestion is far more sensible The fancy pink leather seats cost 7k a pair from Porsche, so I'm not ditching them for a pair of Cobras in fake alcantara!!!

Besides, the Red Baron my be going soon as I have a sniff on an Ultima, and that comes with a very substantial cage and very insubstantial, very non-pink, seats
