Hi! I was leaving Henley town centre in my Ruby Chimaera, and waved to you as you sat in the queue waiting to get into the town centre. Are you a PH'er??

Are you sure it wasn't your reflection in the front window of Waitrose??

Cute ...although I will admit I was admiring the reflection of my car in the shop windows, I am sure it was a "real life" Chimaera I saw in the traffic queue. My first morning coffee wasn't strong enough for me to have hallucinations!!

RG,

Henley has more than its fair share of miserable non-PH dickheads driving around in TVRs.

And they all work at the same place locally.........

Too true JSG - I noticed that "attitude" when I stayed in Henley recently . . . miserable millionaires!

Don't be silly. RG would only use the rear view mirror on the dual carriageway - an eyeliner pencil could be lethal if used whilst driving through the bumpy roads of South Oxfordshire
:ducksandrunsforcoverinfearofangrycanadianladywithbigdog:

P.S. - RG - did they get the colour matched ok in the end - and did you manage to talk them into a full nose re-spray?

People who live in Henley are miserable for one reason and one reason alone. The CONSTANT influx of bloody tourists!

(You know I am joking Rob!)

I put it to the honourable gentleman that the town council's penchant for constantly changing and ing up the roads around the High Street and Town Hall are also responsible for a great deal of misery....

Well yes there is that.

I wondered what went through their mind when they decided to route all the Falais Square traffic through the Greys Rd car park - very odd.

Oh, and just for good measure, in this car park/road they decided to install ornamental walls masquerading as speed bumps

Matt.

We like to add to the misery by towing the horse trailer through the middle of town at weekends.

As the poor Freelander only has a little 1.8 litre sewing machine engine, it means we do struggle up Remenhem Hill at 15mph. Sorry about that. I do have my foot to the floor....

Just to clarify my post as it may have been too subtle - I wasn't refering to people who live in Henley (or nearby) as we're all wonderful but rather people who WORK for one particular company there.

Clunk (small denomination coin responding to gravity).

The same people who were so nice to me about a year ago?

Me: Hello. I'd like to buy a secondhand T*R Gr****th, but I have never driven one. Please could I organise a test drive in the next couple of weeks?

Them: Well sir, we have rather more people interested in test drives than in actually buying the cars. When you have decided which specific car you would like and are ready to buy it, we'll arrange a drive in that car.

Me: Well I won't be ready to buy a car until I decide its the car for me. And to make that decision, I'll need to drive one.

Them: I'm not being rude sir, but are you accustomed to the power?

Me: I have already told you that my current car is a 321bhp rear wheel drive roadster with no traction control. (And he saw me get out of it).

Ah - happy days.....

Personally I only have praise for them. They have been fantastic to me and the car, especially of late.

Just goes to show the fickle nature of customer relations.

As a very small starter:

Me in Goring Heath (Blue Griff)
JSG in Goring (Green V8S)
Ed T in Peppard (Blue Griff)

but loads of others.

I was thinking of doing another informal meet at the White Lion in Crays Pond - a few of us met up there on a Friday night a couple of months ago. It has just re-opened following a refurbishment and looks pretty good. Food is excellent.

Interested?

Matt that's excellent.

Unfortunately they didn't give me much encouragement to become a customer. So I can't really comment on their customer relations!

Louise kindly showed me around the motorshow stand.

I'm game for any meet with an hour that will get me out of W. London!

Before I got my Chimaera - said organisation offered me some big discounts and spoke of test drive . . .

Like plotloss - we have buckets of charm . . .or is that buckets of dodgy expensive jewellry

Maybe it's because we look like we mean business - you know - like P Diddy

Be careful Mr Diddy - your wad may go the same way as Mr MC Hammer . . .
